George Russell - Berlin 1970 & Don Ellis - Berlin 1968 (George Russell Fest #4/7) - now on dime

Just up: http://www.dimeadozen.org/torrents-details.php?id=152557

Don Ellis played with Russell early on (documented on a few of the later's great early 60s album on Riverside, see my earlier Russell post for more info), so it was pretty logical to combine these two shorter sets. The Russell composition was released twice on Soul Note, as far as I know. About Ellis I don't know that much. Two of his earliest albums for Pacific Jazz have been reissued on CD by Blue Note/EMI, and I also have his Columbia album "Electric Bath". Earlier on he did a few small group albums (for Candid mainly, but one for New Jazz/Prestige - another OJC to get before it's gone, I assume...), and later on he did a few more albums for Columbia (some of which have been reissued on CD by the Wounded Bird label).
